@humptydumpty - Well in fact, when you want to show variation, you would do this using CSS with a graphic file that has a stripe of the product variations, and position the focus based on the chosen option to show the correct product color for instance. @Elephant got my hands full with a couple of projects at the moment !
Trying to find time to look at this one.In terms of what else todo, it's in App Wishlist, and I'm sure staff are aware.
Eventually it will need to be on git.cloudron.io. Staff can give you an account and rights to make a repo. But I'm sure the repo where it is currently.
