      https://contabo.com/blog/lauterbourg-datacenter/

We've been expanding our German quality and great prices to more Regions around the world, including the US, UK, Australia, and Asia. To better serve our European customers, we're now building a brand-new data center in Lauterbourg on the French-German border. And to celebrate that, we’ve prepared a special promotion for you!

The new Data Center will have seven buildings with a total capacity of 12 MW, which can house approximately 50,000 servers. You can find more details about redundancy and sustainability of the new Data Center here.

Construction has begun, and we expect to have the Data Center ready for customers in 2024. In the meantime, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn for regular updates on the construction progress and be the first one to know about all the special offers we’ve got for you.

As for the promotion, to celebrate the construction start, we’re giving away extra storage for each new VPS for free and lowering prices for additional drives on VDS and Dedicated Servers. Don't miss out on this and get yourself a promotional server!

      Best regards,

        @humptydumpty sounds good.

BTW, as I understand it their existing German data centres are already use 100% green energy (European hydropower) too.

Based on that I tried out their object storage, but it was useless for my needs (using it for Peertube) because Contabo don't support virtual-hosted-style urls, only path-style

        In a virtual-hosted–style:
        http://bucket.s3.amazonaws.com
        http://bucket.s3-aws-region.amazonaws.com.

        In a path-style URL :
        http://s3.amazonaws.com/bucket
        http://s3-aws-region.amazonaws.com/bucket

        As it says here https://docs.contabo.com/docs/products/Object-Storage/technical-description/

Virtual Hosted Buckets are not supported. Path based buckets are being used. so e.g. eu2.contabostorage.com/bucketname is used instead of bucketname.eu2.contabostorage.com

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@jdaviescoates You could set up an S3 gateway in front that does support path style with Minio.

@scooke just search for "how to minio gateway mode" and check on sub/path support in their docs.

Thanks, but I'd rather just use providers that do support virtual host style. Very happy with Scaleway for my purposes 🙂
