This would be a great addition to Cloudron. I think it would run on Cloudron, what do you think?

In order to run MailWizz, the requirements are pretty low, you will need:

      • Linux operating system
      • Apache/Nginx webserver
      • PHP >= 7.2
      • MySQL/MariaDB, with InnoDB storage engine
      • Cron Jobs access (linux crons not web crons please)

Your php extensions must include: gd, imap, zip, mbstring and curl.

I use this for years, it's pretty much powerful and runs perfectly well on LAMP on Cloudron of course, it's relatively easy to install. Configuration though is another another story and requires a fairly high level of technical knowledge. It also has SaaS capabilities.

On the other hand, this is not at all a free software, and thus not for Cloudron apps repository, you need to purchase a license for each installation and have a key to install and run it.

Just installed it on a LAMP stack, took me five minutes. Really easy. However, it's a paid product, so even if you manage to add it to Cloudron, it would require a license key to work.

But for $79, you get everything you need. I think it's a pretty good deal.

Sound much like what I already said just here above you, 2 hours before. It's a good thing to read also, as well as posting in a forum.

Or are you a bot, trying to oversell it? Isn't it a bit odd that among the first times you post in this forum, is to send us to a PAID software? How long have you been using Cloudron? Have you tried Mautic on Cloudron? Which is FOSS. And don't you know Mautic is even more powerful than what you try to sell? 🙂

I don't think @jfrere is a bot. The account is 7 months old to the day and has support posts on the forum. You're right though, proper homework hasn't been done here. FOSS is the way.

@micmc Hi, following your reply, I tested the installation on a LAMP stack as you mentioned. I confirmed that it was easy and quick to install. Then, I added the information about the license costs.

Also, it's true that Mautic offers more features, but I personally found the interface and configuration options a bit confusing. That's why I wanted to try something simpler.

And yes, it doesn’t have a free version, didn’t see that at the moment. My bad!

Nah, it's not necessarily simpler, hoo no...

Try Listmonk in the Cloudron repository if you want something really simple. 👍

It's important to note that while Cloudron offers a lot of flexibility in managing applications, there might be some specific configuration requirements for MailWizz that need to be accommodated within the Cloudron environment. You may also need to consider licensing, support, and updates for MailWizz within the Cloudron context.

It works perfectly well out of the box on a LAMP instance on Cloudron without any "specific configuration". It's not running within the Cloudron context but in a Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP context, just a bit as a VPS could be -and very often is- configured to run this out of the box as well.

Of course, if and when one wants to get into a SaaS with more muscles (as running through multiple IPs simultaneously for example), then some more technically advanced knowledge and settings would be required. But then, we're at another level which I think Cloudron per se tends solve 😉

I'd say it’s easy enough to install on a LAMP stack, but setting up the cron jobs and making sure all the PHP extensions are good to go can take a bit of time.
But, if you’re running a contracting business, getting your online game strong makes a huge difference. I once worked with a digital marketing agency in Ontario that had a team of folks with hands-on experience in the trades. They really got how contractors operate and helped put together a website and logo that actually pulled in clients, which can also be an option for you.
