I did change the domain of the application, but now it is showing as busy (Configuring - Waiting for propagation of the domain)

I'm currently using a .local domain and have asked end-users to edit their hosts files for web application testing. As a result, I'm using self-signed certificates. When I switch to a public domain, obtaining an SSL certificate from Comodo or GoDaddy won't be a problem.

My concern is whether the VPS's current private IP could cause issues, considering the public IP is on the external firewall.

I am using Moodle inside LAMP App (and not directly the Moodle one) because I migrated an older version that was using PHP version 7.4 that I managed to upgrade using the terminal inside Cloudron.

I have set up a LAMP application on Cloudron using a local domain on my own server through a VPN, and everything seems to be working fine after editing my computer's hosts file.

However, I would like to know the correct procedure to change the domain to a public one when the application moves to production.

What steps should I follow?

@scooke Today I spent almost 4 hours trying to install Cloudron but got several error messages.

I installed Cloudron under the domain AAA.pe so my Cloudron control panel runs at the my.AAA.pe
however I have noticed every application that I try to install is also installed under the same domain. Is it possible to use a different domain?
Maybe using CNAME records?

@jdaviescoates I currently use MirHosting and you can create Ubuntu VPS from their Jelastic platform, so I am (almost) sure you can do the same with your current Jelastic provider.

I currently use Vimeo PRO for hosting large videos of my Moodle courses, however I would like to know if I could replicate the domain restriction for serving videos with Peertube or any other of the tools available at Cloudron.
