Mystery solved; The server i was hosting Afterlogic on turns out is just too slow. Checking the logs it would always time out, which is 15 seconds.
I ran Afterlogic on a much faster server and now it sends emails just fine.
Thanks all for your efforts to help me, it was much appreciated.

@girish I am using Afterlogic WebMail Lite 8, and the test you gave me, it successfully connected to it.

Also checked the PreferStarttls flag and it was already set as true

@murgero Afterlogic is hosted on a another server outside of my cloudron mailserver, so i believe that wouldn't work

@murgero I tried 465 with SSL, no luck, 2525 with or without SSL and no luck.
I added 2525 to the cloudron firewall whitelist but that didin't help either.

@nebulon I tried ticking the SSL checkbox but i got the same error, and yes i moved my mail server to mail.domain.com instead of my.domain.com

Also tried running a SMTP test and all seems okay.

Hi, i'm asking for help here as a last resort as i can't figure out what is wrong.
I am hosting Afterlogic on a another server that doesn't have Cloudron installed.
The problem i'm having is that afterlogic cannot connect to my mail server which is hosted from
Cloudron.
Spark on my iPhone can send emails but some other email apps cannot send emails either eg. Outlook.
So i am wondering if my mail settings in Afterlogic are wrong or is there something else im missing?

@girish Not sure, /var/lib/docker still has some folders

I accidentally reinstalled docker and docker-compose since i was following a youtube tutorial but now that i have done that everything that was running under cloudron has stopped working probably due to docker missing proper configurations. Is there a way to get docker back up and running with the proper configurations?

Getting NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID on all of my domains set up with cloudron
(my.cumpal.xyz, mail.cumpal.xyz and cumpal.xyz)
Any way to fix this? I tried renewing the certificates but it didin't do anything

@cumpal Cloudron expects to be the only one running on the server, so for security reasons it locks it down unless needed by Cloudron or any of the apps on it. If you need to modify it, I think you can just update the firewall rules manually in Ubuntu, though I've not done that part myself as no need for it yet. but hopefully that at least explains why it's locked down. You may want to review the Cloudron docs on security features too.

Hey, i've been trying cloudron for now but i have noticed it blocks ports because i can't connect to any other ports unless it was setup by cloudron ie. minecraft (25565) and BeamMP (30814)
Is there something i'm missing? How can i open these ports again in cloudron since they work out of the box on stock ubuntu without cloudron but stop working after installing cloudron
