Which Domain Name Registrars do you recommand in 2025 ?

Some reasons i consider are :
1- Is the company is strong enought to last, so i don't have to change every year
2- The price
3- Reseller / auction service to buy / sell domain is nice to havewrote on Dec 27, 2024, 9:50 PM last edited by@jrl-abstract27 said in Which Domain Name Registrars do you recommand in 2025 ?:

Hence why https://www.freethought.uk/ that @avatar1024 mentioned are interesting.
And in their own but different way, people like https://1984.hosting/ too. And I guess that's why @mononym likes https://njal.la/ too (e.g. due to their concern about privacy)
And also why Gandi's No Bullshit stuff is good.

I use OVHcloud as it’s one of the few that invoice in my local currency, so it helps with exchange rates. With the low Canadian dollar against the USD, it’s even more helpful in helping me money. Plus it has a nice feature of allowing zone file editing directly.

I have namecheap for well over a decade, never had a single issue, once when I accidentally allowed a domain to lapse they recovered it quickly for me.

Hi @jrl-abstract27, what has been your decision? Are you sticking with Gandi, or trying another (please not gd).

Definitely Cloudflare if .com, .net etc... Can't beat their pricing! For other domain extensions, Namesilo.

Since i use a lot ghost who want the open web -> https://activitypub.ghost.org/, I don't consider Cloudflare, because i don't want to centralise internet.
Best,

I also really want the best domain hosting provider for my newly launched website. I am getting confused between 2 domain providers. I have searched on google it gave me list like bluehost, GoDaddy and domainracer. please give me a suggestion on this. My budget is under $4.

Dynadot.com
Cloudflare.com
Gandi.net
Porkbun, namesilo, dynodot, spaceship, and namecheap
OVH
