Hi team,

After the update to Cloudron v8.3.0 I am getting the following pg_dump errors when Discourse tries to back up:
[2025-03-19 05:04:33] pg_dump: error: server version: 16.6 (Ubuntu 16.6-0ubuntu0.24.04.1); pg_dump version: 14.9 (Ubuntu 14.9-0ubuntu0.22.04.1)
[2025-03-19 05:04:33] pg_dump: error: aborting because of server version mismatch
[2025-03-19 05:04:33] EXCEPTION: pg_dump failed
I assume there is some client nonsense going on here that I shouldn't try and fix myself (based on previous posts from a few years ago) and will await advice from the smarter and wiser folks here.

Thanks!

@jamryl if you open a Web Terminal and click the Postgresql button at the top and press enter, does it connect? I think you can use show tables to see the tables in the database .

@joseph I ran into the same issue with Discourse after upgrading to Cloudron 8.3.0. Here's what I see when connecting via psql:

psql (14.9 (Ubuntu 14.9-0ubuntu0.22.04.1), server 16.6 (Ubuntu 16.6-0ubuntu0.24.04.1))
WARNING: psql major version 14, server major version 16.
Some psql features might not work.

Oh, this is because the discourse image is not update to 5.0.0 . I have started a CI task https://git.cloudron.io/packages/discourse-app/-/merge_requests/12

Confirming that Discourse backup worked properly after updating the app to pick up the 5.0.0 image. Thank you!
