SFTP to LAMP

Hi there,
I have trouble logging in with SFTP, tested via different clients.

• telnet is fine for connection,
• I used the user provided in the app section for SFTP,
• user is operator of the app,
• tested with standard user password and also with a additional setup application password,

Both times password was declined. I used the app password, as I thought MFA might interfere with the authentication?

Do you have any other suggestion, why SFTP fails here?

OK - with admin user no problem.

Debugged further:

• user is operator via group membership - login fails
• user is operator via selected users - login works.

That might be the reason?

Yes, only app operators and admins can use the SFTP.

I think there might lurk a bug, if operators via group are not working, but are working if they are added explicitly.
