How to truly allow app to manage it's own users
-
I've noticed that when I set up a new Element app (matrix up and running), it is listed as "This app has its own user management." but when I go to register, I am given the option to login to my Cloudron. I don't want that, especially since the app has its own user management. When I clock on "Create an account", it redirects to another login page, not registration page, but login, for my Cloudron. What gives?
*for the alert ones, yes, I realize some time ago I asked for the exact opposite! I was wanting a user registered in Element to appear in my Cloudron; this time I don't want them to know about Cloudron.

Hello @scooke
Since the app element is just a front-end for matrix, the user-management of the matrix home server is the one you are actually looking at.I installed element at https://elm.cloudron.dev and 2x matrix home servers.
- 1x allow all cloudron users at https://moidc.cloudron.dev
- 1x Leave user management to the app at https://mself.cloudron.dev.
OIDC -
moidc.cloudron.devWhen I configure element to use
moidc.cloudron.devas the home server, I correctly get the Cloudron user management when trying to register or log in:

Self Managed -
mself.cloudron.devWhen I configure element to use
mself.cloudron.devas the home server, I correctly get the user management of matrix itself when trying to register or log in:
