Wekan's UI now is absolute sh1t. Time for a replacement. Ease of use and fluidity are the only requirements! TIA!

Edit: Tim brought up a good point that I didn't think about. Add BROWSER based to the requirement list πŸ˜‚

      @humptydumpty I agree - wekan is yuk.

Does it have to be an alternative in the browser ?
On iOS, I am increasingly using "Truly Simple Kanban" app, and not missing the big screen.

@joseph @james I tried Vikunja a long time ago back when it was buggy every other update. I'll give it another look. Thanks!

I'm using it to track my job statuses so I'm on a PC all day. It would slow me down to pick up my phone constantly.

I looked over the Kanban plugin for Freescout since I use that for work email and I'd be able to link conversations to cards which is awesome, but based on past experiences with FS plugins, they're.... half-baked at best. This would be my last resort.

@timconsidine I installed Vikunja and I'm trying to figure out how to import my shtuff from Wekan and stumbled on this gem: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/kuna/id6751142174

If I'm not mistaken, it should sync with our self-hosted Vikunja app. Will provide an update once I sort it all out.

The "Kuna" app syncs fine with my Vikunja app. I signed in via API which has limitations outlined on the login page in the mobile app. I couldn't add a label to a card which might be related to it. I'll test the user/pass login method later. I haven't finished migrating my data yet, but so far so good. +1 Vikunja. Thanks guys!

              I've eyed both

              https://github.com/kanbn/kan

              and

              https://planka.app/community#strategy

as being potentially friendly to Cloudron packaging. kan.bn in particular just wants a Postgres database, which Cloudron happily provides.

              I use Cloudron on a DXP2800 NAS w/ 8TB in ZFS RAID1

I love the kanban that Vikunja offers. LOVE IT. I've tried most of the others, too. I linked to a post of how I was using it awhile back. I'm still using it the same way, just even more streamlined and nice looking. I like that I can enter notes about what I've done with a given domain, server, project, etc., and ALL THE INFO I need is all right there.

@scooke I’m coming to the same conclusion! It’s come a long way since I’ve last tried it. I haven’t had the chance to complete my migration from Wekan yet. I have too many boards with rules set up and will need to rebuild it all manually. The Kuna app on iOS is the cherry on top.

@scooke so one feature that's missing is "rules/automation" for instance where you could add/remove a label if the card is moved across the board. Do you have any experience/hacks/workarounds with this in Vikunja?

P.S. Apologies for the "Wekan" terminology - they don't translate well to Vikunja!

@jdaviescoates Oh, I know. But, I don't want to deal with Xet7 ever again.
