BoxError: Another backup task is in progress: Update task is active
-
Hi there,
I'm repeatedly running into some backup issue. It seems like my external backup (mounted via SSHFS) is getting into some trouble. Cloudron lists backups there, so the actual backup seems to be finished. But afterwards scheduled and manual backups are impossible. I always get the message that some "App task" is running and I should try again later.
I checked cloudron-support --troubleshoot but nothing of importance came up:

Run 'apt install whois' to checkFirst couple of times I restarted the server completely. Last time I just restarted the box container which did the trick.
I locked into the box logs and this might by important:

Ubuntu 20 EOL was May 2025 so almost one full year of no security updates.
The issue you describe stems from not beeing not up to date.
