    Hi there,

I'm repeatedly running into some backup issue. It seems like my external backup (mounted via SSHFS) is getting into some trouble. Cloudron lists backups there, so the actual backup seems to be finished. But afterwards scheduled and manual backups are impossible. I always get the message that some "App task" is running and I should try again later.

I checked cloudron-support --troubleshoot but nothing of importance came up:

    Vendor: Default string Product: N100M
    Linux: 5.4.0-216-generic
    Ubuntu: focal 20.04
    Execution environment: none
    none
    Processor: Intel(R) N100 x 4
    RAM: 32658684KB
    Disk: /dev/sda2 174G
    [OK]	node version is correct
[OK]	IPv6 is enabled and public IPv6 address is working
    [OK]	docker is running
    [OK]	docker version is correct

    [OK]	unbound is running
    [OK]	nginx is running
    [OK]	dashboard cert is valid
[OK]	dashboard is reachable via loopback
    [OK]	No pending database migrations
[OK]	Service 'mysql' is running and healthy
[OK]	Service 'postgresql' is running and healthy
[OK]	Service 'mongodb' is running and healthy

[OK]	Service 'sftp' is running and healthy
    [OK]	box v9.0.17 is running
[OK]	Dashboard is reachable via domain name
Domain xeac.de expiry check skipped because whois is not installed. Run 'apt install whois' to check

First couple of times I restarted the server completely. Last time I just restarted the box container which did the trick.

I locked into the box logs and this might by important:

box:cron BoxError: Another backup task is in progress:
    Update task is active
        at Object.startBackupTask (/home/yellowtent/box/src/backupsites.js:379:22)
        at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:105:
    5)

Can you help me pinpoint the actual problem here?

    Best

      Hello @robomod
Your Ubuntu: focal 20.04 and Cloudron 9.0.17 are severly outdated!
Ubuntu 20 EOL was May 2025 so almost one full year of no security updates.
The issue you describe stems from not beeing not up to date.
      Similar to the topic https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/15533/skip-older-cal-packages
The linked topic also has instructions how to update Ubuntu and Cloudron.
