e.g. in the mailbox owner, Only allow selected users, Operators ... dropdown.

Pronouns: he/him | Primary language: German

How would we then remove an inactive user from those lists?

@joseph That's a good point. Regardless of the reason for having inactive users in the first place, another way to fix this would be a different dropdown layout:

        • Active users (alphabetical)
        • Inactive users (alphabetical and dimmed), listed below the active ones

@luckow how are you defining inactive?

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@jdaviescoates The main thing is: I have no idea what happens if I delete the user. For example, a former teammate or freelancer who is no longer active (and won't be coming back, but was active in GitLab, for instance).
Another use case: Imagine employees on parental leave (usually 6 months or longer). They will be coming back, but shouldn't receive any notifications during their absence. Later on, they'll be active again
