Custom app will lose support, please use app store version
-
Since Tymeslot has a stable app store version on Cloudron, the custom app using the CloudronManifest.json will be discontinued. I am not sure if anyone is still using it, if you need a migration guide, let me know.
This means that the custom app will still run, but it will lose the ability to receive updates.

@ekevu123 the way Cloudron appstore does this for "major notices" like this is to publish a major version of your app which is the same as the current one. The changelog of the major version says what you said in this post. Major version does not auto-update and the user will be forced to click the update manually and forced to reckon with the changelog.

Hello @sponch
Is there a way to migrate to the official app? spent some time with config
There is a way, but it could maybe break something. If you don't skip the backup it should be okay. (Backup restore for this app will result in an error, but you'll have the backup data of configs).
I installed the Tymeslot community app fromhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/Tymeslot/tymeslot/refs/tags/v1.27.0/CloudronVersions.json.
Since the manifest URL points to a specific version it will never give me the option to update to2.0.0that @ekevu123 released. With the Cloudron CLI:
cloudron update --app $YOUR_TYMESLOT_APP_ID_OR_LOCATION --appstore-id app.tymeslot@1.21.0 --forceThis updated the installed community app version of Tymeslot to the Cloudron app store version.
It started, but I since it was a fresh install I can't give any promise this will fully migrate everything correctly. -
config lives in /app/data, no?
No, in the database.
if you need a migration guide, let me know.

I was hoping nobody would need this, because I don't have any guide
But let's see what we can do here.Hello @sponch

Our package Tymeslot Store package 2.0.0 v1.28.0 1.22.0 1.27.0 v1.27.0 1.21.0 1.26.0 v1.26.0 1.20.0 1.24.0 v1.24.0 1.19.1 Make sure the encryption key stays the same at all times.

@ekevu123 ah, would it be beneficial to you if the config was read in from disk on start and written out on changes and shutdown, while life config is in db?

@ekevu123 just following the thread from above, and having some config visible in /app/data.
There may not be a need at all.

I just went through the migration yesterday. It was mostly copying data from one app running in rescue mode to another running in rescue mode. Its an easy task for an ai agent.
