Customize /_matrix/static/ page

I'd like to request for /app/code/env/lib/python3.6/site-packages/synapse/static/index.html to be a symlink to an index.html file in the writable space of /app/data. This way I can redirect hits to matrix.domain.tld to the actual Element web client.

@yusf Seems easy enough to create a symlink. Do you know if this approach is supported by the upstream project?
