has anyone been able to run calendso using caldav? I've been trying with no success using fastmail
@chetbaker yeah, I started playing with the hosted version. It's great! But the CalDAV integration doesn't really work at all

Yeah, it's a pity. I opened a couple of these issues while ago.

@chetbaker I think they'll sort it eventually and when they do this ought to be near the top of the list for apps to package.

Big Data love to get into Calendar applications. Odoo has a calendar module, but it is geared towards Google Calendar and later supported Microsoft Outlook.
Free Software Calendar projects seem to be very slow off the mark to introduce non-proprietary calendar support. I hope Cal.com manages to support Free formats.
Is there anything much better than Cal.com ?

@jdaviescoates there's a promising pull request today https://github.com/calendso/calendso/pull/1300

@chetbaker yes, seems they are working through the CalDAV issues!
I tested the hosted Cal.com service earlier and it does now block out availability for times where there are events in my Nextcloud calendar, and creates an event when an appointment is booked.
I didn't seem to receive any email about it though...
But it's getting there! Really looking forward to having this on Cloudron as a great Calendly alternative!

Great open source alternative to Calendly. Please add it to Cloudron!

+1 from my side. Would be absolutely killer to have this!
The calendar handling for a team is currently a bit difficult using OSS -
Is anyone around here testing cal.com locally? I'm kind of desperate to make it work because there are not a lot of alternatives for this around (I've been using Fantastical lately and works good but not really professionally-polished)
Happy to test it out.

@chetbaker I've been working on a package but I'm a bit stuck, will revisit it when they make their next release (they changed from biweekly to monthly tags recently). Also, they're massively reorganizing things and adding features, like jitsi integration got added not too long ago, so a lot of changes are happening there.

Hope still alive then!

This would be an awesome addition to Cloudron. I've tried self-hosting Calendso and, for whatever reason, it's a pain. I have n8n running (not through Cloudron as I wanted external db access) and it's no problem. Until then, I'm glad I have my tidycal.com LTD through AppSumo LOL.

@jdaviescoates
should we not count the total characters in domain and tld ?
So cal.com = 6
ud.coop = 6I got t60.uk = 5.
Anyone got 4 ?

Only, it's not open source nor self-hosted AFAICS, thus you very likely share your calendar with the service owner, technically speaking.
Anyway, since my beginnings on Internet 1998, I'd always wanted to self-host everything I possibly can and thus you can imagine I do NOT trust SaaS, let alone BIG TECH, for nothing in regards to my and my clients' data.

@timconsidine If you count the visible IDN, I have 小山.com!
