Appsmith

Hi, I'm the lead maintainer of Appsmith.
I'd be happy to assist you in creating the required configuration files that would allow Appsmith to be hosted for Cloudron users. Please feel free to open a Github PR where we could collaborate and/or join our Discord link for quick support from our team of engineers or the community.
-
@girish , may I add my vote to that request and draw your attention that the application developers are interested in assisting to create that package for CloudRon, so it probably will be quite an easy thing to add, unless I'm missing something?
-
@mohanarpit : thank you
Not sure how I missed your postI'm not the best person to initiate the PR as my packaging skills are not up to it. Hopefully someone else here will take you up on it
-
@nebulon , is there any chance for AppSmith to make to Cloudron, alongside Baserow?
AppSmith developers are here and ready to assist.

@potemkin_ai I hope Appsmith comes to Cloudron (you mention Caprover in our last post, but I think you mean Cloudron)
One request to whoever does the great work on packaging for Cloudron : can a database connection be added in the package?
The Caprover one-click install says "no database connection included" and leaves you to set one up. Kinda defeats the point of a one-click install !!
In the community help for Appsmith app on Caprover, a request has been made for detailed instructions on making the connection, but I don't think it has been done yet.
Caprover is a nice platform, and I use a number of apps there which don't exist on Cloudron. But <cough> the support for apps is far below that on cloudron. Yeah, I know it is community based. But I get the impression some apps (no names mentioned) are packaged and then more or less forgotten about by the packager. Well, I will mention one : Appsmith (no DB) seems to be one.
Hopefully Appsmith on Cloudron will be different.

@timconsidine thanks for the correction - I use both (CapRover and Cloudron) and both are magnifique, but CapRover is more like a self-hosted Heroku for me, while Cloudron is a turn-key solution: install and forget, which is wonderful.

Hi all,
I am an intensive user off appsmith, it would ne great toi see appsmith on cloudron.
I create a lot of internal app, with DB Access and API call with n8n.+1

Appsmith + Supabase could be amazing!
-
Hi all,
How can we help to see appsmith on cloudron ? -
@chris_doudet it needs to be packaged for Cloudron.
Hopefully between Appsmith developer @mohanarpit & Cloudron @staff they'll make that happen at some point.
But if you want to give it a go yourself, see:

@mohanarpit Welcome here! Looks like I missed your post entirely. I will open a GitHub issue to track the packaging.

I don't have much to contribute, but maybe this will help:

@timconsidine Sorry I misread this previous message. I'm looking for @mohanarpit I think

How is this not on cloudron yet? Looks like there is plenty of demand for it.
