    @nebulon

    Moodle has massive developer support, is widely used around the world and already supported on Cloudron.

    I haven't looked too much into Canvas LMS, but I would say the strongest alternative to Moodle would be Sakai:

    http://source.sakaiproject.org/release/21.1/
    https://www.sakailms.org/

    Sakai has been under development for many years now, though not so long as Moodle. It has some big backers in the world of Education, too.

    There is also a LMS (Learning Management System) integrated as a module into Odoo (or Flectra, a fork of Odoo with a Freedom focus.) Odoo and Flectra have a presence on Cloudron, I think.

      @loudlemur I think Canvas LMS is likely more widely used than Sakai given it has even more active development and more stars on github, see e.g.

      https://selfhosted.libhunt.com/categories/1695-learning-and-courses

      But Sakai seems cool too - we should add an App Wishlist post for it!

      I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

            I could create one, but our utterly glorious developers here must be feverishly busy preparing other applications for us. Would another wish be a burden or distraction?

                  Is anyone interested in providing a quote for packaging this for Cloudron? DM's open if you'd prefer to not do it in public.

                    Did you get any responses to that? I'd love to have this on here too! 🙂

                        Just reviving this thread to see whether anyone is still interested in attempting to package Canvas LMS for Cloudron. Would be great to have it available as an alternative to Moodle.
