2FA not allowing Online Account connection in Linux
-
Hey folks, I set up 2FA via Nexloud app notification on Android yesterday. Works great except my online account connection to my VPS instance from Linux (pop!_os -- essentially, Ubuntu) won't connect now. Any idea how to fix this?

What do you mean by 'online account connection' to your VPS ? Is that some pop!_os concept ? (Do you mean SSH connection to the server or do you mean connecting to nextcloud ?)

@girish I mean that there's an easy way to connect to common services (Google services, Dropbox, nextcloud, etc through the gui. From my experience, it's referred to as Online Accounts. I first encountered it in Ubuntu, then Mint, then Pop!_OS. It's a davs connection to Nextcloud.

@Ropyro In order to use non-nextcloud apps with Nextcloud (I assume you are using PopOS! file manager) you need to generate an App Password in the security settings in your account on your Nextcloud app.
Good luck!
