Well, Nextcloud 25 or "Hub 3" does have a - long - changelog: https://nextcloud.com/de/blog/announcing-nextcloud-hub-3-brand-new-design-and-photos-2-0-with-editor-and-ai/

Including a new design, a photo feature that could be on par with Photoprism / immich, etc....

I have started the testing. There are a few things we need to adjust it seems. Once that is done, we will hopefully slowly roll this one out. Of course this is a major release, so based on previous experience, some breakage due to plugins are to be expected.

Alright, it seems to work okish. I have published a new app package with v25.0.1 now. It will not update automatically for the moment, so please update manually if you want to check it out. Certainly do not skip the backup prior to the update!

Upgraded and tested. Works well so far. Stuff I noticed:

• faster pagespeed and fluid design
• App order (addon) does not work anymore
• Theme/icon/logo/background related stuff got resettet and I had to upload them again
• not happy with the current dark theme so I use Breeze Dark (addon)
• mail (2.0) integration is pretty good now

Note: there is also a SnappyMail Nextcloud app which I've been using for a wee while now and it's great!

The nice look has gone in NC 25.0.1 . I cannot see the menu in titlebar any more.

@Svg22 can you hard refresh your browser cache and disable all Nextcloud plugins if possible? Based on experience such updates hardly work smooth with Nextcloud with lots of plugins unfortunately.

@subven Nope, that's not it. I remember it working by manually hitting the Check for Updates button, but now no update is found when doing so.

@nebulon Looks like that's the case. Then the question becomes why the platform didn't update itself…

I'm on v7.2.5 currently. Has there been no stable releases between this version and v7.3.4?

@yusf for manual updates a few releases were between that, but 7.3.4 is now slowly rolling out for autoupdates.

@yusf all releases which are not yet available for a specific Cloudron for autoupdates will show that warning. We roll out releases based on the dashboard domain in alphabetical order. You can safely update manually already, but do not skip the backup!
