    Hi all, i got the app Mastodon running on een vps server, is it easy to add the Matamo needed code in this, or the question. How to use this Matamo with Mastodon.

      @redegelde AFAIK, mastodon does allow injecting custom javascript, which is required to support analytics - https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/9183

        this seems an old thread, and from the mastodon Admin center only option is the CSS. i dont want to break any updates etc by forcing editing the index.php

          @redegelde The only way to do it is manually and you have to do it every time you update.

          On a meta-level: The idea of Mastodon ist NOT to track people on social media.

            @redegelde indeed upstream has removed the injection of Javascript snippet it seems. So this requires support for either matomo explicitly or again some well supported way to inject Javascript into the app.
