    Hi there,

I enable a group of new users via LDAP for Matrix. This users cant login:
invalid username or password. I enabled the users directly in dashboard, but they still cant login.
Restart of container, but issue still exists.
Maybe something with the last update?

Please check, any ideas are welcome.

    Greetings Dirk

Just to be clear: You created a group within Cloudron, gave that group security permissions to use the Element + Matrix app and added users to that group?

        Hi,

we sync our AD to cloudron and decide with groups, which users can use the apps. The users with the corresponding groups are synced correctly and a login with nextcloud is working well. But they cannot login to Matrix/Element.

@dima Just to remove AD and groups out of the equation. Are you able to impersonate one of the users and check if login works ? What if you add a test user in Cloudron and allow them to access matrix. Are they able to login?

            Hi @girish,

if I create a new local user I do not get the invitation mail. If I make a user local and impersonate it, then I can still not login. Same error.

@dima Just to double check. The synapse app is installed with Cloudron user management enabled, correct ? You can check this by going to App -> Access Control and it should say "User management" (instead of "Dashboard visibility").

If that's the case, can you drop us an email at support@cloudron.io and I can take a look.

This got sorted out in support . It was a configuration error - Issue was that user was part of a group that was not part of the app's access list.
