Been testing this. Can confirm it does work well on their hosted version, which seems to just be the UI for brokering the P2P connections.
Given that it's just brokering, I can't imagine it'd be that difficult to package for more confidence in that privacy, and of course having branded links.

@marcusquinn the frontend itself is just a static website and I am quite sure in the past I already hosted it through surfer successfully. But to be fully independent one would need to run their signalling server. this here seems to be a comprehensive list of steps.
If i understand their readme correctly the only way to adjust branding is to modify the index.html file directly.

But that says:
There is no STUN or TURN server provided in this guide/install, as those are probably not needed if using just over a LAN.

@fbartels Sorry, I just mean branding the URL, not the actual product. so that simple surfer equivalent option could work.
