Partition your system drive as a destination for Cloudron block storage?
-
Cloudron requires that Block Storage be provided by the same host, as far as I understand. Some hosts provide good deals for a VPS but don't offer Block Storage as well.
Before installing Cloudron onto a drive, could we partition it into two, and dedicate one half to Cloudron and the other to Block Storage for Cloudron?

@LoudLemur not sure I understand the purpose of this question. (Are you asking so you can create a Cloudron volume to share between apps?) .
Because if a server has 2TB, the 2TB is available for the apps already. Why do you want to create a Block Storage ?

It is just that I thought it might be safer for data to be on a partition of its own. If the OS gets screwed up for some reason, the data partition could be left intact.

AFAIK, most VPS providers don't have this option. They are all in same partition when you get a server. Maybe one can do this on dedicated servers.
But also, Cloudron has various things in OS and home partition. So, this needs some testing to actually make it work/be useful.
