SET a PTR records to finish email configuration
-
Hello everyone,
First of all I want to say that I really like cloudron, it's really easy to use even for newbies likes me. I have configured a Jellyfin and a Nextcloud in a day, which took me several mounth before on my own.
Almost everything works fine but I still can get the mail to works. I have a domain with LWS panel, which I proxied with cloudflare. Everything was configured alone but I still can't set the last thing to make my emails works.
The error I have is as follow :- PTR DNS record (PTR) did not match.
** Hostname: XX.XX.XX.XX
** Expected: my.xxxxxxx.fr
** Actual: atoulon-XX.XX.XX.XX.w83-113.abo.wanadoo.fr - Relay error: Connect to port25check.cloudron.io timed out. Check if port 25 (outbound) is blocked
- This server's IP XX.XX.XX.XX is blacklisted in the following servers - Sorbs Aggregate Zone, SpamHaus Zen
I tried to set a PTR records on cloudflare but nothing seems to works, I tried to contact LWS PANEL ans ask the to set this records but they told me I have to set this on Cloudflare.
To be clear I have no idea what to do. I read a lot of informations about this but nothing seems to works.
Could anyone have any idea what to do ?
Thanks a lot,
Aymeric - PTR DNS record (PTR) did not match.

The PTR Record or Reverse DNS Record is mostly set in the Server Management Panel.
Example for a Hetzner Cloud Server (Sorry German Language, but the this should convey the idea):

I am not sure how your panel looks like but there should be an option for that

Thanks all for your response.
- @nebulon I already checked this documentation but it couldn't help me. It's way too technical and does not help me with my problem.
- @BrutalBirdie Thanks for your advice, but in my case, my Server Management Panel told me that I have to set this records on Cloudflare, which doen't make sense for me.
- @laurent thank you, do you have an app or something like this in mind ?
-
Thank you @laurent I'll try something like that.
