Hi, I use cloudron 8.x and when a user is selected as operator of the app :
- he can't update manually it but only activate automatic update
- any information visible to check if an update avalaible (admins of the instance have a green arrow)
The only way to add capabilities is to assign the admin role of the instance to the user.
I think it would be interesting to open the manual update action for each app operator.

To clarify, this is a UX bug and not a feature request, because this leads an operator to see "No new updates available" when clicking "Check for updates", while there are new updates, which is misleading.

Yeah, this is just a bug. Operators should be able to update apps. I have fixed this in https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/box/-/commit/a932a5251a7e5909945210d3c27f46ea3b937650 . We will be making a patch release 8.0.5 shortly with various fixes.
