Gitea Upload Size

Hello o/
i encountered the problem that changes to /app/data/app.ini like

[attachment]
ENABLED = true
ALLOWED_TYPES = */*
MAX_SIZE = 50
MAX_FILES = 5

do not work.
I specifically wanted to increase the MAX_SIZE argument but it does not work.
I also restarted the app and even rebootet. On a clean install with gitea it also happens.

I can reproduce the bug but I cannot make out what the issue is. I will keep digging.

I just installed Gitea and wanted to have it more secure/closed with settings below but it doesn't seems toe work:

LANDING_PAGE: login
DISABLE_REGISTRATION: true
REQUIRE_SIGNIN_VIEW: true

@imc67 I think maybe you got the syntax wrong or the section name wrong. It should look like this in /app/data/app.ini:

[server]
LANDING_PAGE=login
DISABLE_REGISTRATION=true
REQUIRE_SIGNIN_VIEW=true

Also, be sure to restart the app after the changes.

Stupid me! I just copy-paste the code from https://docs.gitea.io/en-us/config-cheat-sheet/ assuming it's also the right syntax

The upload size actually works but the issue is that when uploading large files, the request times out. I have opened an issue upstream - https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/issues/12022 . I used the following config:

ENABLED=true
MAX_SIZE=50
MAX_FILES=2
ALLOWED_TYPES=*/*

@timbo The upload size issue is now fixed with https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/12024 . When they make a new release, we should get the fix.
