federation tester not working on base domain
-
i am getting this when i run the test on matrix.domain.com:443
but when i try to run the test just with domain.com:443 i just get a blank page, same with just domain.com
-
@nebulon I'd guess https://federationtester.matrix.org/
I think https://federationtester.matrix.org/#chat.uniteddiversity.coop used to work, but I'm currently getting errors there too (oh, probably because that is my install of Element, not my Matrix Synapse install... but actually get the same error at https://federationtester.matrix.org/#matrix.uniteddiversity.coop too - aha - but https://federationtester.matrix.org/#uniteddiversity.coop )
works fine!)@RazielKanos said in federation tester not working on base domain:

Try without
https://
and without the trailing/
too -
Hm our instance seems to work https://federationtester.matrix.org/#cloudron.io to be honest I am not sure what the two errors from @RazielKanos indicate or try to tell us.

@jdaviescoates
I did that - and get a blank page -
Yes and No. Do you have anything installed under the bare domain?
See: https://docs.cloudron.io/domains/#well-known-locationsNote that Cloudron can respond to this end point only when an app is installed on the bare domain.
Means you must have SOME app at
DOMAIN.TLD
even if the matrix home is undermatrix.DOMAIN.TLD
Did you do that?
Also works if you have the bare domain as an alias in for example an LAMP app.
That's how I do it. -
on my domain i have a wordpress page, so ppl can see something if they go there
-
ok, got it fixed...
Cloudron told me to:For federation to work, the delegation URI https://domain.com/.well-known/matrix/server must be configured. See the docs on how to do this.
but to get it working, I had to add:
matrix.domain.com:443Topic can be marked as solved
