I wanted to move my Cloudron install from a server (IP1) to a more powerful machine (IP2).
So I restored my last backup on IP2 : my.domain.name was properly installed on IP2 (DNS record included) by all my apps remained installed on IP1 (DNS records have not been changed).

How to have all my apps installed on IP2? Can I change the A DNS record of 1 app, and have it moved to another IP ?

(Side note: during my last attempt, I thought all my apps were on IP2, and reformatted my IP1 server → total outage ! I suggest it should be clearer when doing a restore on a new server, that apps are not DNS migrated)

Sorry, "old" apps are now on IP2.

If you want to move the Cloudron wholesale from one server to another, please follow the guide at https://docs.cloudron.io/backups/#move-cloudron-to-another-server it will also move the apps.

Note that DNS propagation may take its time from your perspective if your PC has some cached entries, so it might appear that the IPs were not updated properly yet.

Note that when you restore on IP2, Cloudron will adjust the DNS of the apps to point to IP2. It can do this only if you use one of the programmatic DNS providers. If you use manual/wildcard DNS provider, you have to change the IP manually yourself.
