      Hi,
is there a way we can easily setup a cloudron instance for a client, run it for a while and then hand it over to a clients own license? Like an agency model?

(Ask me about B2B marketing automation & low code business solutions, if thats interesting for you.)

A subscription is bound to a cloudron.io account. This mostly has to do with how we handle the credit cards and mandates (which is handled via stripe, our payment provider), so those can't be moved.

Cloudrons itself can be re-associated with another cloudron.io account, by first deleting the record of that Cloudron in the cloudron.io portal. Then the Cloudron is "free" and once the Cloudron's admin heads over to the settings or appstore view in the dashboard, one is able to use any cloudron.io account to bind the Cloudron to that one. (in your case your clients cloudron.io account)

@nebulon We must admit this is absolutely not the best way to handle things IF ever one wants to build a business based on Agency service provider or MSP model using Cloudron.

There MUST be a better way. 😊

If the agency remains the one holding the subscription, there is no handover to be made. Otherwise, that client has to become a cloudron.io customer on its own for a subscription.

              That's right, indeed. 👍
