    Hello,
I have a new domain from Squarespace that I would like to setup to use with Cloudron. For example:

    new domain: example.com

I'd like the mail to be handled in an app like SoGo at mail.example.com via Cloudron, to handle email like info@example.com.

I do not necessarily want to use asterisk subdomains to handle all subdomains via Cloudron, though I would definitely consider doing:

cloudron.example.com as the zone and mail.cloudron.example.com as the mail app.

So, scenario 1 is just a simple, case-by-case subdomain like mail.example.com or forum.example.com. Can I even do this via Cloudron?

Scenario 2 is a zone such as cloudron.example.com and *.cloudron.example.com. Is this possible/easier/etc?

Recommendations welcome. Many thanks in advance.

yes, of course. Just choose the Manual DNS provider. You can just set up normal A/AAAA records for the apps. For the email server, if you go to the Status section, it will tell you what DNS records to set up.
