    Hello all,

I just noticed that all backups listed under "Listing" are disappeared.

I rebooted instance, but all is gone.

I checked if backups exists on backup destination (Hetzner storage, correctly mounted), and backups are there, but listing is gone.

    alt text

    Maybe is a bug?

    Thank's a lot

Edit: I did also a "Cleanup backups", but situation is still the same
Edit2: Also single apps lost all backups references

Have you changed the backup storage configs? If so old backups are essentially removed from that list since Cloudron may not be able to rely on the storage configs anymore to find those. If that is the case this is expected behavior and to restore if needed you would have to import backups.

Cloudron does not look into the backup storage as such to find backups, but relies on its own list.

Do you see any errors in the browser console maybe while the UI tries to fetch the backup listing? Any more information to narrow down the issue?

@nebulon I tried different browsers, no any backup is listed. I created a new backup on specific app, and those new created backup is listed in app "Backups" section

So the listing then works, which means the backups in the database were purged. This only really happens if the backup storage config changes, hence invalidating the info on the old ones. What is your retention policy currently?

@nebulon 48 hours. I had this problem only on two Cloudron instances. Cloudron did not noticed any alert about this issue. All those backups that missing from "Listing", are still in external configured storage (Hetzner storage box).

I see so 48h houers being 2 days, not sure how many backups are created, but is it possible that no new backup succeeded and purging of data on the storage failed due to some issue with the storage itself?

@nebulon created 5 backups, I check daily if backups are ok. Yesterday all was working fine, this morning I checked, and no backup listed. All backups was performed and uploaded to storage. Now I've in storage all backups, but no anyone in Listed backups.

There is something not working properly.

We need more info on the situation then. Please check the system logs especially backup cleaner related logs and task logs at /home/yellowtent/platformdata/logs/box.log

@nebulon Thank's meanwhile what I can do to fix this situation? Delete all stored backups on external storage, and perform backup again?

I guess first create new backups and then delete the old ones on the storage directly just to be safe
