Does it also save/store to simple text files?

The concept of export-only is a one-way street and nets you a different format out.
The concept of file-over-app is a two-way street since all files are more important than the app editor.

From the docs, it seems to have one choose from Blinko mode to Note mode. So both?

Unless Note is a separate program?
