Seems this is also somehow related to https://cryptpad.fr/ (OpenPaas is one of the links under About)

          https://github.com/xwiki-labs/cryptpad

          https://github.com/xwiki-labs/cryptpad/blob/master/docs/cryptpad-docker.md

But it's not the same people on GitHub so not really sure what the relationship is.

Here is is the OpenPaas repository:

Looks like an interesting App Suite that has evolved a lot since you originally posted.

The email client looks inspired by and improved on Gmail, and that's always been the one to beat for me.

I can see IT vendors competing for Office365 / GSuite customers with this suite, and certainly the way to start to know something to help others with is to battle-test it personally first.

When I see the FOSS developments from outside of the US nowadays it does make me wonder how long the GAFAM Emperor's New Clothes will remain all that most people see.

OpenPaaS even makes Nextcloud look a bit dated, and I had high hopes for that already.

            👍 from me for this!

Maybe switching to James (mail server of OpenPaaS) can be really good alternative, and easyer to intagrate with cloudron then OpenPaaS.

It offer pretty much the same:

              • Mail
              • Callendar
              • Contact
              • JMAP protocol + standard one imap, smtp ecc ecc.
              • It use database to store email (Cassandra / PostgreSQL / HSQLDB / MySQL / ElasticSearch)
              • Provide a complete RestAPI.

Shame (because it looks like their email offering may be better than all the other existing solutions) OpenPaaS forces you to include "OpenPaaS is powered by Linagora", with links to both, in every email:

                https://github.com/linagora/openpaas-esn/blob/master/LICENSE

@jdaviescoates Haha, weirdos! Although I never hiding the branding of anything we use, prefer to point people to it's docs or community for RTFM support, since it's the management part of what we do that is our business. Still weirdos for force-feeding though. 🙄

I think https://github.com/linagora/openpaas-esn/blob/master/LICENSE#L59 says that "OpenPaaS is powered by Linagora" needs to be in every mail signature or did I read that wrong?

I'm still hoping for Open Xchange first 😁

Simple, fast, standardised, battle-hardened with many hosting services.

Some of these epic groupware apps have a variable experience when using them for everything, instead of sticking to core strengths.
