New Docker Hub usage and limits - Starting 1st April 2025
-
Hello everyone,
Docker Hub announced their new usage and limits starting 1st April 2025.
Does anyone knows if it will impact us ? Cloudron users.I think it may no ? For example, a Cloudron with 30 Wordpress instances and all of the instances needs an update. Then it's more than 10 pulls. (I guess we are using unauthenticated no ?)

Not sure, but this could be relevant:
@girish said in Recent app updates error:
@Lanhild after reading the rate limit docs many times, it seems maybe that pull limits are rate limited to 10 per hour for unauthenticated users. we have started adding a fallback for dockerhub and all the latest images are now pushed into quay.io as well - https://quay.io/organization/cloudron . Next release, will automatically try to pull from quay, when dockerhub rate limits are pushed (maybe we will switch to quay entirely at some point, have to see).

No, that would be 1 pull if all 30 Wordpress instances are managed or developer instances. If mixed that would be 2 pulls.
The Docker image only needs to get pulled once and is then present on the system.
At least that is how it should be. -
