v10 and email-archive

I did not want to hijack the related topic but with such an email oriented upcoming release (v10) , I would find it awesome - but possibly I am the only one - to have an accompanying email archiver app such as one of these, to make the cloudron platform email package even more feature/capability complete :

It seems as MailPiler was close to become an official Cloudron App a while back, with @vladimir.d working on it.
But it never manifested.

Possibly,it would be one more way to celebrate the big v10 milestone/achievement.

@james I see you moved the post into the "feature requests" category and I realize now that I poorly phrased my initial post.

I guess I am hoping to have one of this application officially package rather than to have a fully email archiving solution backed in Cloudron, not to have to "re-invent the wheel".

But, I also think that either (app or cloudron feature)/both would certainly work (so long as Cloudron email archiving as a feature would be compatible with archiving non-cloudron hosted mailbox)

We have had this request for a longer time.
Issue is to comply with laws this must be implemented at the mail-server haraka level and was attempted already by @milian.hackradt => https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/14134/custom-haraka-plugin-support-for-the-mail-addon
So we need to revisit that.

Thanks - I see where you are coming from, but this is not directly what I aimed for with my initial post as a cheeky attempt to get consideration for a mail archiving app officially packaged for Cloudron.

nonetheless, I see both as valuable topic of discussion:

• Legal compliance with business email archiving, especially in transactional email scenario - as a Cloudron feature tight to cloudron email server
• Email archiving app, possibly providing the above functionality by delegation of the feature but also enabling the archive of other emailing solution not residing on Cloudron (e.g. gmail, outlook etc..).

Selfishly, the later is what is most attracting to me due to the need of archiving emails from various email solutions / providers as well as cloudron ones.
