    Hi,

WordPress in the unmanaged app is requesting to upgrade to 7.3. PHP 7.2 is from end of this month end of development. Are there any plans to upgrade this?

    Regards,
    Marcel

Definitely, sounds like something we should do across all our PHP apps.

PHP 7.2 will receive security updates till end of this year (https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php). Can you clarify why you need 7.3? AFAIK, most plugins should be 7.3 compatible.

Hi @girish thanks for your response!

In Wordpress the build in "site diagnose" (don't know the exact English name for it) has only 1 issue and that's 7.2 instead of 7.3.

            On their site it says:

            Requirements
We recommend servers running version 7.3 or greater of PHP and MySQL version 5.6 OR MariaDB version 10.1 or greater.

I've run into compatibility issues with some plugins. Not major but it'd be nice if this were upgraded...or we had a way to choose our PHP version.

@imc67 I have made switched PHP to 7.3 in the unmanaged wordpress. You have to click on the update button manually since it is a major version bump.

If things go well, I will fix up the managed wordpress package as well.
