@jdaviescoates The link in the old request is for old code

Just wanted to know if this has any progress

As soon as I am somewhat familiar with Docker i could try myself. But this still will take some time. Maybe someone want to teach me?

@timbo We have been having a couple of meetups already to help with Cloudron packaging. One by @doodlemania2 and another by @thetomester13 . You can follow this thread - https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/4214/app-packaging-event . We will probably have another one soonish.

Essentially this would allow one to run and host their own Firefox Authentication and Sync server (Sync Bookmarks, passwords, history, etc from the browser to a self-hosted server)
Links:
Would anyone be interested in using such an app?
-
@murgero Would this also support the Firefox Relay stuff? THAT would be HUUUUUGE

@girish Great, thanks a lot! I will surely try to catch one of these events!

@doodlemania2 I think Firefox Relay is separate from the main sync server
-
@mehdi yeah, but Relay seems to require it, so if you packaged this thingy, we might could then package relay!

Now there is a
Firefox Viewthat can send tabs to other devices and recover tabs from history, etc.https://www.reddit.com/r/selfhosted/comments/r4nso8/selfhost_your_own_firefox_sync_server/
Looks like this project in Python makes it easier and is already dockerized:
