We are happy to announce the availability of Cloudron Referral Program.

If you like running apps using Cloudron, please share your experience on social networks, youtube and other sites to earn account credit.

More info at https://cloudron.io/blog/2020-07-13-referral-program.html. The gist is that if someone subscribes to Cloudron using your referral code, then you will get a $30 service credit. The referred person will get a $30 credit as well. Credits don't expire.

This feature has been enabled for a while but we never really announced it formally. So, here is the formal announcement 🙂

One request: Please do not put your referral code in this forum itself in the form of posts or your signature etc. Instead, you can always link in your blog post or equivalent here which has your code.

Nice! I'll be referring without an affiliate link to help the cause but certainly a decent way to get more of the professional bloggers including it in their "Top X for Y" pages. 👍

We're not here for a long time - but we are here for a good time :)

Thanks. Agree that a referral link would be much more handy, but we have to first implement it 🙂

@marcusquinn @plusone-nick Just implemented a ref link, will get it deployed over the weekend. You can share a link like below. When customer lands on cloudron.io, we will save it in the browser storage and then if that customer eventually signs up later, we will auto-fill the refcode as well.

@girish do the referral codes work with the newer year subscription option or is it just for monthly? If it does apply to the year how does it work? is the credit subtracted from the upfront total?

@plusone-nick I'm pretty sure it's basically just $30 credit to spend as one pleases, so could use to get $30 off annual subs

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

The credits are applied during the subscription setup in stripe, so they should be automatically used then for the newly setup subscription. If credits are accrued during an already active subscription, then those will be deducted from the next invoice.

I have deployed the referral link change. You will now see the full referral link. If you see the link being clipped, just refresh the page (I think it's because browser has cached the old style sheet or some CDN issue, not sure).
