    I have no idea how to fix this!

    @scooke yes, indeed. it used to be nickname before but now has become name but there is no migration script to convert the field. We have to investigate why it's this way.

    As a workaround, you can install the previous version of calibre (and then the upgrade works). In the URL bar after you click on calibre, change the version to be 0.3.0. It's safe to upgrade to 0.3.1 after that.
