    upon completion of the download of Cloudron on an ubuntu 20.04 VM running inside Virtual Box. instead of giving me a URL with the IP it gave me Https://<ip> as seen in the picture

    i did also mess up the reboot and so I had to restart it instead

      @samuelbevan2000 We try to query the public IP using curl https://api.cloudron.io/api/v1/helper/public_ip . Does that command work on the VM? Maybe outbound http calls are blocked or maybe api.cloudron.io does not resolve in the VM ? If it's the latter, can you check if host api.cloudron.io works on the VM?

      Other than that, it's harmless that it shows https://<IP>. You can just navigate to https://vmip . Does that work?

        @girish the first command worked but I now have the issue that the URL takes me directly to my router settings

          @samuelbevan2000 you have to port forward port 443 in the router to the vm.
