Hey all, this is Bram, the founder of Baserow. We recently release version 1.7.1 (https://baserow.io/blog/november-2021-release-of-baserow) and I was curious what the process would be to update it in the Cloudron app store. We've made some changes here https://gitlab.com/bramw/baserow/-/tree/develop/deploy/cloudron that must also be applied in the app store version.

Let me know if I can be of help!

Hi @bram thanks for the early notification. I have carried over the python path change from https://gitlab.com/bramw/baserow/-/commit/a66653b9f1cd8ab4f5710db2bf24e2e9dda43222#d5210793de5d5eb9747e04f5ff1ed0367c76200f_33_33

and also so a related change https://gitlab.com/bramw/baserow/-/commit/a66653b9f1cd8ab4f5710db2bf24e2e9dda43222#35c0b26b9ceaf5a7af0c045b73b10c7f36842b27_18_18 but our start.sh never actually had this, so maybe that was a bug initially.

Were there any other Cloudron package related things I might have missed?

With the above the package now runs through our test.

the new version is now published. It is currently still marked unstable, but so far we haven't got much feedback about issues, so I guess if @bram also sees no issue currently, I will mark it as stable in the coming days.

I've been using it extensively from unstable instead of my own installed version - it's working VERY well.

I've also been using it for sharing data I've migrated from Airtable and Seacloud. They're small ~500-600 row tables. And it' working well too.

The main thing is the (currently) limited functionality but I am happy to wait as development progresses.

Thanks to you and your community for creating Baserow @bram.

@nebulon It's been working very well for everyone that I've spoken with, so I'm okay with marking it as stable. 🙂

@ei8fdb Glad to hear that it's working well for you. We're moving as fast as possible with in terms of development, but we value quality over speed a lot. It might take a bit longer than you would have expected, but the features that we deliver always work really well and stable. We just hired three new developer who will be joining our team in the upcoming months, so you should see a speedup.

@doodlemania2 We're working on public view sharing right now, it will probably be released early January. You can also expect a gallery view, improved user file previews, performance improvements and much more.

Really great work @bram !!! on your public views, my wish list:

    1. No authentication required and read only
    2. Ability to sort and filter
      Hero status!

    @bram thanks

Maybe, it could be a good idea to connect Baserow with Mavo to create more complex web applications. A new mavo storage / plugin should be created to do this.

@robi you are right, it would probably be a good option for mavo. However, I was thinking about a solution to provide public pages linked to baserow.

@jeau Yes, any type of working forms on Cloudron to get data in would be GREAT!

    Still waiting for OhMyForm!
