My instance lost all its configs and data during the upgrade to 2.0. Restored back cleanly! Happy to grab logs if anyone else experiences and need to compare notes. For now, holding on 1.x

@doodlemania2 I think this was expected from previous threads.

@doodlemania2 it should not really lose the data or configs as such. Maybe you could clone your v1 app and perform an update on the clone. Then hopefully we can see some errors in those logs.

oooo interesting - yes, let me clone and repro if i can
yes, when it came online after the 2.0 upgrade it was "welcome, let's create you your first user" so I thought that was kaboomed

I've confirmed the user is gone but the workflows are still there, so I guess, I just need to 'recreate' my user account and things will start working again. Seems odd.

@doodlemania2 It's expected. Prior to 2.0, n8n had no concept of users/accounts i.e it was just open/public. The login screen was provided by Cloudron. After 2.0, the login screen is provided by n8n because it now understands users/accounts.

@girish bingo! i will practice once more to confirm but i suspect that the first user == the user that gets rights to previously created things

one other thing i need to double check - when i upgrade to 2.0, for whatever reason (possibly unrelated to the upgrade), my n8n stopped working (it stopped responding to webhook triggers), i will see if that's consistent and perhaps related to "it won't work till the first user is created" or something else
