Looks like a sort of metabase and redash alternative?
It does!
And actually more popular than both according to https://selfhosted.libhunt.com/categories/1647-analytics
-
@jdaviescoates Indeed, that's what is surprising. I have never heard of this and it has 45k stars!
-
@girish correct - though they all have their nuances. Metabase is very user friendly and has more publishing options. Superset still thinks of itself primarily as an internal use only tool.
Preset.io are charging a small fortune for it.
You might like to consider a data stack, too (take that, plural.sh) and include airbyte & airflow.

This does look very good!

airbyte & airflow
definitely looks like you ought to create App Wishlist posts for those Ed!

I think any request for an application on Cloudron meets with more enthusiasm from the community here if one mentions whether there is a Docker image available. A Docker image makes it a lot easier for packagers here to try out the application. A lot of packaging work is reduced, too.Fortunately, in Apache Superset's case, there is indeed a Docker image available, and instructions are provided:
https://hub.docker.com/r/apache/superset
https://superset.apache.org/docs/installation/installing-superset-using-docker-compose/#installing-superset-locally-using-docker-composeI hope Cloudron supports this application. I would like to see D3 / Observable supported too:

2.5 weeks ago I installed Superset on my MacPro from github using Docker.
There is also a linux and Windows install.
However, this cannot be installed on a Mac running the M1, M2 etc chips yet. I have the last version of Mac running the Intel chip before the crossover to M1 architecture. Now I've built a dashboard featuring charts that pull data from an online mysql server at a German Apache or nginx for php/mysql common web projects.
But to take my dashboard project online I'd need my linode.com server containers account.
I wish Cloudron offered a Superset install based on the current Docker container for Superset install.
This would configure my linode.com dedicated container/volume for superset with everything else needed to run superset. -
This has been packaged now by @vladimir-d and is published as unstable. The new forum category is at https://forum.cloudron.io/category/159/superset
