Hello ladies and gentlemen, I'm new to Cloudron and I'd like to use it to create and deploy an instance of Forge Minecraft.

Specifically I'm looking to deploy Mineshafts & Monsters. The versions involved are Minecraft Version 1.16.5 and Forge 36.2.20. Would it be possible to use a custom docker repository in this case, or is there simply no fix?

      Thanks in advance

Hello @MrJengo and welcome to the Cloudron Forum 💙

By default all apps try to be on the latest version.
In your case a custom app / fork of the forge app is needed.

I am currently checking if the latest Forge App can simple swap out the Versions and you might be good to go.

But I guess @atridad would be the expert on this, since he packaged the app. 🙂

This would require a new app to package that version of forge. I suspect the rabbit-hole of different versions would not be something @staff look into. The way I see it cloudron has the latest version, and someone can fork and manually set it up for older ones.

You can fork the repo on https://git.cloudron.io and switch the forge version. Just a heads up though, I don't remember which version switched out the way forge was built. The current package assumes the current method. Might run into issues there.

Usually, you can click on the app in the AppStore view and then edit the "package version" in the URL bar before installing. You can determine the package version from https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/minecraft-forge-app/-/blob/master/CHANGELOG . However, the specific version you are asking for was never packaged since the app was still getting to a stable release.
