New un-press-able green Update button always showing is confusing

I updated to 7.3.2 and the new un-press-able green Update button always showing is confusing.
Given in the past the button only ever said Update if there was actually an update available, now it looks like there is an update when there isn't:

So I try and press the Update button, but I can't, because there isn't actually an update available, so the button is disabled and can't be pressed.
So I think something is wrong and switch from my mobile to laptop to have a closer look... and realise it's not that something is actually broken, it's just the UI has changed and there is now an constantly displayed green Update button that can't be pressed (unless there is actually an update available of course).
I think how it was previously (with a red button saying "Check for updates" and then only showing the green "Update" button when an update was available) was a lot clearer.

Mmm. The "Check for updates" button is now always visible because we have cases where if an update is available and we pushed a new patch release or revoked the release in the meantime.
But now that I think about it, maybe the better approach is to maybe check for an update when the update button is clicked. @nebulon will that work?
