Owncast Multi-User Mode?
-
Is it possible to enable Owncast so that several people have permission to stream from it, and if so, how?
One way would be to just give all users the password that the admin uses, but that would not be very secure.
AI tells me to go to settings, general, users and enable Multi-User mode, however that seems to not exist. (It would be nice if it did exist though.

@LoudLemur ownCast is single user software. See https://github.com/owncast/owncast/discussions/1969
"Owncast is single-user software. You can run as many instances of Owncast as you like, however, if you wanted to operate multiple streams."

It's in the name and docs, however you can combine (stitch it together) it with Restream.io or other services that provide a one-to-many fan out streaming service.
https://codeberg.org/johanvandegriff/hugowncast is an example front end that works out of the box.

@robi Wow! Thank you for that one. What an incredibly nifty little tool. This is so easy to do and perhaps so useful perhaps we could in include a mention and link in the documentation.
@LoudLemur Sure! ... what are you refering to?
