No, in Cloudron every update needs to be applied.

The one thing you could do it to adjust your auto update schedule to update more than once per day.

@andirahmat yes, block storage is the correct thing to use for app data directory. But even in block storage, some filesystems like CIFS are not suited (since they don't have permissions and symlink support either). Of course, other filesystems like FAT, NTFS etc are totally out of question.

Yes, Cloudron is "basic SMTP" (per their definition). It's really hard to say whether your VPS provider will take offense with sending 1000 emails twice a week or not. You should probably just ask them. If they are one of the "big" VPS providers, be totally prepared for anything, including your account being banned. This is just how they work since even if they say it's totally fine some internal alert. kicks in, not being all fatalistic :-).

Anyway, I would recommend using external relay for large lists (1000 is big enough).

@andirahmat Files/source code on cloudron is read-only. This is to make sure updates are smooth. You will have to contact upstream to make them customizable across updates.

I haven't used tableplus/navcat but if you can post a screenshot maybe it helps debugging further. I think instead of mysql you just need to put in the IP of the mysql container using docker inspect mysql | grep IPAddress

All apps on Cloudron use Ubuntu 18. But you can build a custom app with the base image FROM cloudron/base:1.0.0@sha256:147a648a068a2e746644746bbfb42eb7a50d682437cead3c67c933c546357617. That one is ubuntu 16.

Keep your installation at 18.04. Girlish is talking about the DOCKERFILE’s too FROM line. Cloudron’s base image 1.0 was based on Ubuntu 16 so you should have that entire OSes dependencies to build an app on Ubuntu 16 even though Cloudron itself only runs on 18.04.

PECL is PHP extensions written in C. PEAR is PHP extensions written in PHP.

Luckily, as you pointed out mailparse is already there in apt. So, I have pushed an update for the PHP 7.4 app to have mailparse in it. I also added it to the php-postgres repo.

@scooke You make a good point, places like DigitalOcean have pre-built VMs for LAMP, not sure about something as old as 5.6 but even then it takes no time to just install
