Official Cloudron matrix room(s)

I see there's a synapse up and running on the Cloudron domain. Are there any rooms available?

Indeed we have by now. We are slowly all our federated apps to use for us as well. The matrix room is at https://matrix.to/#/!dzuCwboxOEAwPqoDDs:cloudron.io (not 100% sure if that is the link to share to join the room, still learning about that ecosystem)

There is not much to be done there though for now, we still think the forum is the best place for Cloudron related things, also we have the Rocket.Chat instance.

So that matrix instance (the registration is also disabled, but it is federated anyways) is currently more of a "hey this works really great" instance.

We have also recently moved to our own mastodon instance: https://social.cloudron.io/@cloudron

Nice. I mainly wanted to sign over the #cloudron:matrix.org alias to you but the room can't be joined it seems:

You sure it's federated?

I did join with my personal account hosted on my personal Cloudron just fine. Maybe that link is not the correct handle to share. What I did was to join #discuss:cloudron.io from my personal instance.

Ah I have found a bug where trying to add and then search for rooms on that instance would result in an error. So the direct room identifier has to be used.

I just searched cloudron on the public matrix server, found it, joined just fine !

@lukas it's not very active. We mostly stick to the forum since this is publicly indexable.
