Forem - online community
-
Forem is open source software for building communities. Communities for your peers, customers, fanbases, families, friends, and any other time and space where people need to come together to be part of a collective. See our announcement post for a high-level overview of what Forem is.
dev.to (or just DEV) is hosted by Forem. It is a community of software developers who write articles, take part in discussions, and build their professional profiles. We value supportive and constructive dialogue in the pursuit of great code and career growth for all members. The ecosystem spans from beginner to advanced developers, and all are welcome to find their place within our community.

Looks like a much better open-source alternative to Facebook Pages - good find!
-
@thetomester13 this does look nice doesn't it.
@Sam_uk I know you've already gone down the HumHub route but check this out too
-
@ei8fdb sure looks good, but I notice that they state
Fedora CoreOS, running on the Stable stream
as a requirement. I think usually Cloudron runs on Ubuntu, so not sure if that causes a packaging problem. Or maybe they just haven't tested it fully on Ubuntu and it's not a requirement strictly. -
@timconsidine Not seeing that Fedora mention any more?
Content landing pages look very much like medium.com - so also an open-source alternative to Medium?
dev.to is the biggest and best-known site running on it, and likely contributing to it given the nature of the community.

It looks like they shuffled things around since the last reply to this topic. They've moved it over to a new repo:

I agree, this is a great find and would be an awesome addition to Cloudron.

They've moved it over to a new repo:
Although "Fedora CoreOS, running on the Stable stream" is still listed as a requirement there
